Product Development Manager

Greensboro, NC

This premiere global textile manufacturer and great Godshall partner has requested that we assist them in finding a Development Manager to lead and drive a team of three or four engineers in new product development with a focus on the chemistry and polymer side. This person could be located out of North or possibly out of South Carolina and will oversee new product development, evaluation/selection, new materials testing and research initiatives and studies. Will act as a "subject matter expert" and as a valuable resource to manufacturing and operations and should have a comprehensive understanding of textile chemistries, polymer additives, melt fiber spinning, yarns, fabrics & material design. Will organize and lead development trials internally, at other manufacturing facilities.

Salary: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00

  • Minimum of a Bachelors in Textiles, Engineering, or Chemistry with strong preference for an advanced Technical Textile degree
  • Experience with melt fiber spinning, chemistries, polymer additives, coating and finishing processes
  • Experience in working on research level projects
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Minimum 8 years work experience
  • Must have great communication skills
  • Some travel required up to 25%
